Perceivability

One of the main principles of interactive design it can be said what we perceive is more important than what we end up seeing. Before you hold, touch and feel an object you must perceive it first. Perceive means to become aware of something or to notice that it exists. If something is so minimal it’s hard to perceive it might go underappreciated or may become cumbersome if the opposite happens which can overwhelm the user.  This is a key fundamental in the design of many devices and services as they must be easy and natural to use so that every user can understand how they work and so that they are accessible to everyone.
