UBER’s website is a perfect example of a website that has a nice, easy layout that is very self explanatory. Initially I really like the clean layout and the playful cartoon icons that are dotted around the website. I also like the simplicity of the top menu bar, you either choose to ride or drive. Making it easy for the two different types of users to select the section they need to be in. I also like how they have included a feature that allows you to view fare estimates. UBER has chosen the relevant things to display on the site, everything has a use making the website simple to navigate with no difficult menus to go through.
This website is used to advertise someones business in creating decorative metal fences. At a glance, the websites colours and different background patterns are creating an incredibly busy and confusing page. There is no real house style or predictability to the site which makes in confusing to navigate and not pleasing to the eye. For a main page, it i way to text heavy and I find it very off putting to look at therefore I don’t believe a customer would spend enough time on this website to find their way around. The images used are not very imposing and almost become drowned by the amount of text around them which is a downfall as the images are a big give away on what this website is trying to sell.
